Ally Sheedy Bio

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy, an American actor from America. Her first film role was in Bad Boys (1983). She later joined the Brat Pack and then went to appear in the films WarGames The Breakfast Club as well as Short Circuit. In recognition of her role in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art Sheedy won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female lead. On April 12, the 12th of April, 1992 Sheedy married actor David Lansbury who was the nephew of actor Angela Lansbury and son of Edgar Lansbury the original producer of Godspell. Beckett was born in 1994 to the couple. Beckett is a trans-man from whose transition Sheedy states she's learned a lot. Alexandra Elizabeth Ally Sheedy (born June 13 1962) was an American stage and film actress as well as the author of two works. She's known for the Bratpack movies The Breakfast Club & St. Elmo's Fire. The Breakfast Club is the name given to the John Hughes film. The film's title, "The Breakfast Club", is a play on a school nickname for detention. Presumably, students would be in the morning, arriving at the time of breakfast. They are the Next Generation. Sheedy included the name "teacher" in her long CV. Sheedy is a professor of acting classes in New York City at City College.
